Professional Orientation of Vulnerable Young People
The project seeks to promote upgrading and upskilling by providing vulnerable young people with career guidance and mentoring through an online platform. More specifically, it reflects the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches in the field of vocational guidance and makes policy recommendations to improve the implementation of regulations in this area, while taking practical steps to reduce the number of low-skilled young adults. More specifically, the PROVYP project addresses:
– Socially vulnerable groups of young people aged 18-30: NEETs, unskilled and unemployed.
– Lifelong learning service providers, social workers, trainers, vocational guidance and job counsellors.
– Staff in charge of adult and youth education and policies,
– Policy makers.
The project promoted the idea of cross-border cooperation to combat youth unemployment at national and European level. Best practices were exchanged, common recommendations for better career guidance were developed and a common (online) skills learning tool in different EU languages was created.
The aim was to promote the retraining and upgrading of the skills of young people who are out of work and education. To achieve the above objective, an online career guidance platform was created where alternative ways of learning are offered by the use of modern technology.
