In Service Training Programme Handbook of the Erasmus+ project CURSOR – Crafting Career Roadmaps
The project CURSOR aims to tackle youth unemployment and social exclusion. It provides completely new career planning framework where young Europeans are supported to acquire and develop the necessary skills to plan their own career progression pathway and to retain those skills for use throughout their active working life. The ‘In Service Training Programme Handbook’ addresses youth workers in order to support the active participation of young people in the labour market and the reduction of youth unemployment that currently pertain throughout Europe. The Handbook has developed career planning resources and tools for youth workers to support young people to take control of their career. The resources have been developed based on a thorough needs analysis and developed in parallel with a Learning Outcomes Matrix.
The resources are grouped into four themes:
– SELF: Understanding your personality, interests and values
– STRENGTHS: Know how to use your talents and personal qualities
– HORIZONS: Visualise yourself in the world of work, training and learning
– NETWORKS: Identify who can support you finding opportunities for education and work.
