Mentoring Quality Seal
The MC Seal stems from an effort to systematize the existing quality standards, and from the experience and knowledge gathered by the Coordinadora de Mentoria Social in the field of social mentoring. This effort is based on the ideas of Elements of Effective Practice for MentoringTM created by MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership and Approved Provider Standard (APS) created by The Mentoring and Befriending Foundation to adapt them to our national context and history of volunteering.
The result is an assessment matrix based on the phases of the mentoring project, identifying 10 requirements to recognize the quality of its methodology. Each requirement entails a set of standards.
The MC Seal has also been designed to promote an improvement in the design and management of mentoring projects.
